Mayor's Walk May 15 at 6 pm

We are excited to be participating in the inaugural
Mayor's Walk on May 15th at 6 pm.

Please come join us for this exciting new event.
This one-mile walk starts at the High Adventure Park and ends at the finish line of the Ogden Marathon. Participation is just $10.  The first 200 registered participants to complete the walk will receive a t-shirt and a commemorative coin.


We will be there with you every step of the way, starting now. If this is your first event, or you have family members you hope to motivate, we want to help. Each week, on this blog, we'll be posting helpful information about how to prepare for the walk. We will also be giving away free tickets for entry fees to sign up to participate.

MONDAY
Welcome to the Mayor’s Walk Preparation Program
You can walk this 1/4 mile by yourself, with a friend, take an animal for a walk, or however you like
Today you are going to start preparing for the big day
Just get up and get going
I will be here along the way to give you a few tips and tricks to help you
We are excited you are going to take part in this initiative
Drink plenty of water, you need to hydrate
If you haven’t already registered, register now
Walk 1/4 of a mile
We can do this together!
Tuesday
If you haven’t already registered, register now
Today I want you invite a neighbor join you in the Mayor’s Walk
Today you will walk 1/4 of a mile plus a couple of blocks
Don’t forget to hydrate
Wednesday
If you watch tv, today I want you to walk in place during the commercial break
Drink water.
If you don’t watch tv, today I want you to walk in place 4 times for 3 minutes each time
If you haven’t already registered, register now
thursday
Today on your 10 minute break at work, go for a walk
Make sure you have good walking shoes.
If you haven’t already registered, register now
Have FUN!
friday
Today you will need to walk 1/4 mile
If you haven’t already registered, register now
Dance in the kitchen to your favorite song
SMILE J
Saturday
If you haven’t already registered, register now
Walk 1/2 of a mile, You can do it!!
Today you have to work hard, tomorrow you have off.
You can split this walk up if you need to, walk 1/4 in the morning and 1/4 at night if you need to
SUNDAY
Today you get a day off unless you haven’t registered yet. If you haven’t register yet register now.
Drink plenty of water
Rest and recuperate
Be ready, tomorrow we start being active again. J
